The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a formative feedback-based recitation program on improving students' problem-solving abilities on momentum and impulse material. This study was a quantitative study, with a One Group pre-test – post-test Design. The sample of this study was 37 students. The data collection technique in this study used a pre-test and post-test of 5 questions. The pre-test results showed that students' problem-solving abilities got an average score of 53.4 (low). The results of the post-test activity showed that students' skills had increased with an average score of 86.8 (high). The post-test results showed an increase in students' problem-solving abilities. The results of the normality test using the Shapiro-Wilk test showed that the pre-test and post-test data were normally distributed with a value of 0.216 (p>0.05) and 0.235 (p>0.05). The results of the homogeneity test using the Levene test showed homogeneous data with a value of 0.054 (p>0.05). The results of the paired sample t-test obtained a significance value of 0.00 (p≤0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores on students' problem-solving abilities. The N-Gain results from the pre-test and post-test scores showed a score of 0.72, indicating a high increase in students' problem-solving abilities in the Momentum and Impulse material.
