Abstract

Concept mastery are very important learning outcomes for students to master. Many factors can influence the
improvement of students' concept mastery, some of which are the use of learning methods and habits of mind. This study
aims to examine the analysis model of learning methods and habits of mind on concept mastery, determine the effect of
learning media on concept mastery and the emergence of habits of mind, and determine the effect of habits of mind on
concept mastery. The variables used consist of two independent variables, namely learning methods (X1) and habits of mind
(X2), and one independent variable, namely concept mastery (Y). This study uses a survey method with a sampling technique
called convinience sampling. The sample was high school class X students as many as 34 students. The instruments used
were questionnaires and tests. Data analysis using multivariate analysis with the SEM method with the help of Smart-PLS
application. The results of the analysis indicate that there is an effect of learning methods on concept mastery of 2.2% with
a coefficient value of 0.229 and a P value of 0.523, which is a positive but insignificant effect. In addition, there is a positive
and significant effect of learning methods on habits of mind with a coefficient value of 0.837 and a P value of 0.000. However,
habits of mind have a negative, but insignificant direct effect on concept mastery with a coefficient value of -0.286 and a P
value of 0.427.
