Abstract

Pineapple hump is part of the pineapple fruit that can nourish the skin of the body, moisturize the skin, andprovide protection from the sun. This research aims to find out whether pineapple hump can be made in lotion preparations and determine the level of moisture to the skin according to the quality requirements of lotion preparations with the help of skin analyzer tools using 3 formulations that are 3%, 6%, and 9%. The lotion is made by mixing the oil phase into the water phase.The preparation includes phytochemical test, organoleptic test, homogeneity test, irritation test, pH test, spreadability test, moisture test. Based on the results of testing on phytochemistry, pineapple hump contains flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins, the organoleptic test shows a thick texture, yellowish color and has a distinctive aroma of pineapple, homogeneity test of all formulations is homogeneous in the absence of coarse grains, irritation test shows no side effects on volunteers, pH test results have a value in the range of 5.32 - 7.50, spreadability test results have a value of 4.5 - 6.3 cm, adhesion test results have a value of 13.40 - 18.16 seconds, viscosity test results with a value of 31500 – 49000.
