Essential oils, a part of being used as repellents, are also used as perfume ingredients. Plants that produce essential oils that grow a lot in Sukabumi include cardamom (Amomum cardamomum). In this study, a perfume formulation based on the typical Sukabumi essential oil which has a dual function, as a deodorizer and as a repellent against Aedes aegypti was made. The aim of this study was to determine the hedonic level of perfume, analyze the components, evaluate the quality, test the safety, and analyze the most effective perfume formula as a repellent against A. aegypti. The perfume formulations made are Eau de Parfum F1, F2, and F3 with 3 different variations of perfume component parts from cardamom (A. cardamomum), lemon (Citrus limon), citronella (Cymbopogon winterianus), patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) essential oils, and vanilla extract (Vanilla planifolia). The hedonic test for colour, aroma, and freshness showed F2 as the most preferred perfume by thepanelists.
